Jetta....or not

This week we tried to get a new car. And of course, it seems like it's just not meant to be yet. That's ok though. With time, we know it will happen!

Izzy updates: She is now 8 months old! I can't even believe it!!! Time is going SO fast!! She is now getting a little braver and trying to stand without holding on to anything for just a few seconds. It's fun to watch. She has lots of friends here at the complex who like to come and play with her. It's nice because it gives Mommy a break!
She's become VERY attached to both daddy and mommy! She goes back and forth from Ryan to me pretty regularly-esp. when we're out in public.


In Honor of today's ISU VS. IOWA game....GO STATE!!



Connecticut updates: Ryan is keeping really busy with work....Izzy and I start mother goose at the library a week from Monday. My mom is trying to get a job at a local school. she had an interview Friday and it went awesome!! We are all crossing our fingers for her to get it! :O) It would be PERFECT for her!! It's cooler out-an awesome change from the heat! It's not cold, but cooler. The leaves are starting to change and Fall is so in the air and I LOVE IT!!!

Labor Day Wknd 2010

Now that I seem to have fallen behind a little big on keeping people updated. I have done well with pictures, but not so much on the writing. I apologize!

This past weekend we went to Rhode Island and went to the beach! It was SO pretty! It was very chilly and VERY windy, but Isabelle loved watching the waves and having the wind blow in her face! We can pretty much take her anywhere and she loves it!!! We spent most of the morning there and were home by 3. It makes for A VERY long day when you're there with a little one.

When we got home we had a bbq with our friends here and it was yummy!!

Isabelle has been saying mama and dada a lot now, interchangeably and is all over, still. She's walking on furniture her hair is growing like crazy!!! you can see it grow over night-I swear! :O) We love it though! It's so fun!! Well that's pretty much it for updates. Ryan is keeping really busy with work, and so has my mom! Isabelle is going to register for Mother Goose time again at the library again tomorrow, and that starts up in a few weeks! She's very excited!!

Big Fall

Izzy took a big tumble yesterday. She was playing in the kitchen and tried to climb up the TV Tray and it fell over and smacked her forehead. She cried and cried, as did I...but she is ok!

I felt SO bad!! I picked her up, and calmed her down. Ryan said to put a cold cloth in the freezer for a while and we put it on her head with a headband so she couldn't pull it off. It worked, and she was happy all day!!! I know there will be A TON more falls and bumps and bruises to come, and we will work through it!!

I did post pictures of her sore and some other new ones too!

Things are good here. We are keeping busy trying to keep up with Izzy, as she's ALL over still!!! Hope everyone is doing well too!!! :O)

Nothing Is Safe

So after our move, Izzy is becoming to get more mobile and become a lot more independent. Sometimes it feels weird because she doesn't need me all day long anymore, so I have more free time to get stuff done around the house while she plays. That I like! :O)

Getting into the pickle lid while daddy eats them....yummy??Nothing is safe though. We have baby proofed everything. We keep everything bad out of her reach and hands...she's able to access her toys at a safe level, and reaches for them if she wants them.

This week she's been working on squatting herself into a sitting position from a standing position. She's got it down! It's amazing HOW fast they learn!! I love it. I never have a dull day with my baby girl and I just LOVE watching her grow and learn new things!!
Well, the princess is napping and I'm doing SIX loads of laundry as we speak!! One of the few nice perks of having an apartment....more than one washer and dryer! HAHA :O)

Change

I died my hair!

It's been a MUCH needed change, and Ryan and I thought what better way!! He picked the color out and it looks pretty good! :O)

Isabelle is still crawling ALL over and getting into everything, and that's ok. It's fun chasing her. She's more crawling on her feet than her knees. We think she'll be walking VERY soon!! Oh, they grow up way too fast!!

Moving Success

We got all moved!!

It was a total success, and our new places rocks!! There is so much more room now, and it just feels more like home than ever before! We're all thrilled and Izzy is crawling ALL over the place, exploring and seeing what trouble she can get herself into!

Now, onto our little party tonight at our place! YAY!!! :O)

An Explanation

Today I was thinking (which I do a lot of) that I might blog about our current situation. :O) I know that doesn't sound very fun, but I feel like typing it. So here we go:

Not a lot of people are lucky like me. I have my awesome Husband, Ryan and we have one AMAZING daughter, Isabelle. We moved to Connecticut in March, and in May, my mom moved out here to help us. Also, she can't stand being away from Izzy and miss seeing her grow up-who could!

I consider myself REALLY lucky, because not a lot of people get to have their mom around like I do. We're best friends and it is the best!! She misses my other Dad, Bob, but if he gets early retirement, he'll move out here asap too, and then we'll all be together, and life will be even more perfect! :O) If not, then he'll come visit in January for Izzy's 1st birthday and my Mom's b-day as well...and my guess is he'll move out here sooner, rather than later!

Mom just got a job at Whole Foods and she's sooooo excited and starts next Wednesday! It's literally one of the most beautiful (all organic) grocery stores I've EVER seen!!!

I have met some awesome people while living here at our apt. complex. I've become really close with Robin, Kristin and now I'm getting closer to Martha! It's amazing and kind of a blessing at the same time, because it's so hard to meet people here. They all love Izzy and Ryan and my Mom too!!

Ok, so now that we're all clear on the living situation I have a HUGE Isabelle update:

SHE'S CRAWLING ALL OVER OUR HOUSE!! It's insane, I wasn't as prepared as I thought I would be. Shew as moving three steps at a time and all in the same day she is all over the place and unstoppable!! She is amazing!! :O)

Ok, so for now I don't have any more updates, and if something pops up-I'll let you all know!

Mobile, Mobile!

Ok, so since my last post, so much has happened, and it hasn't even been I full week (I think)!

New things Izzy can do:
* She can pull up on the tv stand now, and walk herself over to the book shelf.
* She has discovered the volume button on the sound system and LOVES making it loud!
* She is talking so much now....more babble but as of late her favorite one is dadadadada :O)
* She loves to scream....happy and mad, it's really funny!!
* She is now crawling!!! She can officially go at least 3 paces and sits back up....but she's got it!!
* She knows that when she's in the kitchen she can get up on the cupboards....
IT'S OFFICIALLY TIME TO BABY PROOF EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

She's soo full of personality and it's so awesome!!! She is amazing and I LOVE watching her grow and change each day!!!

As of Late

Well as of late, we've been keeping pretty busy at the Kappelman Home. We've been trying to keep up with Izzy. She's doing something new everyday! She's still not crawling, but the other day while I was in the shower, Ryan was playing with her on the bed, and she crawled 3 steps to get to his computer...I guess she wanted it that bad! She hasn't done it again since though. With time, the little booger will be ALL over!!

We're preparing to move into a different apartment, here soon. We're finally upgrading into a two bedroom! Oh, it will be so nice!!

Last Friday (7/30) Izzy had her 3rd well baby visit. She's now 17 lbs 7 oz (75th percentile) and 26 inches long (50th percentile). She cried with her shots again....but stopped when I picked her up! She did really well.

We went back again today, to find out she has thrush again. Her poor little lips are so red, they almost looked like they wanted to bleed....and of course she has the white stuff. But now she's on some meds and hopefully things will clear up soon! Other than that, nothing too eventful is going on! :O) Till next time!

Trying New Things....

Yesterday, just for fun, Ryan and I decided to introduce Izzy to a sippy cup to see how she would handle it. As it turns out, she did rather well. She was putting it in her mouth and trying to suck, so we added a little milk and with time, and practice, she'll get the hang of it! :O)
She also got a new board book from Aunt Brianne and she's learning VERY well!
