4 month check up

Well today, Izzy had her 4 month well baby apt. with Dr. Binder. She is now 15 lbs 8 oz, and 24.5 inches long. She has grown an inch in two months and gained exactly 2 lbs as well. She's our growing little queen bee!! She took her two shots like a big girl, only crying when she got the initial shock, and after I picked her up...she stopped!! She has, however, not been very happy tonight. She's finally asleep, and I hope for the night!!

Since she's growing so fast, her nurse was totally shocked that she can sit by herself for a little while with no help-at all and that includes no pillows or anything!! She's just got some strong abs! haha Dr. Binder loves how she flirts with boys too! It's pretty cute!

We're not doing much for the weekend. Going to our neighbors little league baseball game tomorrow at the park and having a cook out with them tomorrow night as well, and as of right now that's about all we have planned!!

This is our newest trick that we love to do: eating any kind of pop bottle or water bottle!! She gets SOOO excited when she sees someone with one! I'm pretty sure she loves the cool cold feeling on her gums! haha!!

When it rains it poors??

I know we've all heard it, when it rains, it poors. Well this week-it's the story of our life!!! Our car has started to crap out and now it's to the point of not being able to really be driven now! Thank god my mom is here so Ryan can use her car to travel for work until we are able to get it fixed!! Its just been one of those past few weeks where is seems like when you just finally get to take two steps forward you're forced to take 12 back!! It put us a little over the top and now we're kind of in a rut. The worst part is being so far away from home and hand help to get it fixed!! I suppose with time something good will come of things!! We just keep trying to stay positive and happy and know that things will really work out in the end!!

It was SOOOO hot today and it's supposed to be again tomorrow. We stayed inside all day long until we had to go to the store, as our kitchen was pretty much empty. AND, the A/C in my mom's car is temp. broken too, haha, so it made for kind of a long trip!! Here, out east, to get to the good store we like it takes a while because nothing is just down the street here!! it May only be 5 miles away, but it ends up taking (depending on traffic) 20-30 minutes!! Anyways...we got our food and we had an awesome dinner and LOTS of entertainment from our baby girl!! She's quite the drama queen and loves to be the center of our attention and she will so let you now it if you're not giving it to her! lol

Relaxed and Lazy Sunday

Well today has been kind of all over the place for our little Drama Queen, who rules our lives! HA.

Izzy only woke up once last night and that was ok with me because I didn't have to feed her, my mom very nicely did it for me while I sat in the kitchen and pumped, so that helped me get back to bed faster. Then, Iz slept until 7:30 I think. Ryan got up with her. We made a deal this past week that he can sleep in on Saturdays if I can have Sunday's!! With the exception of Father's Day! So far-so good!!

Today we are pretty positive that Izzy has a tummy ache because she's been so upset and doesn't, and I mean doesn't want to be put down-what so ever. We had on serious freak out and the screaming was like when she got her shots!! eeekk....then she gave up and fell asleep!!

Ryan's been doing awesome with helping today though and playing with her. Oh my does this girl LOVE to flirt with boys! She LOVES her daddy, and she just talks and talks to him and flirts-it's SO funny!!!

For now, I'd like to have her in bed by now, but since she took another LONG nap, later, I don't think we'll have much luck....yet!!

First time for everything

Lats night Isabelle FINALLY slept through the night!! I am very happy and impressed with her! Makes my life much easier and a lot happier!! Now, I just hope she continues to do it!! I'll take less naps if it means she sleeps ALL night long!!

Today will be a lazy day. It's much cooler out than it was yesterday!! For that I'm happy, and it's over cast which I like a little better when i take her to the park! Which I do plan on doing today too. This girl could swing all day if she wanted to!

She's doing well. I'm doing well and so is Daddy!!! Happy weekend!

Unexpected Dr. Visit

Well today we had our first experience with a not planned doctors visit for Izzy. She out of nowhere broke out in a rash on her back. We noticed it somewhat once a few weeks ago but it wasn't like it was today. She had little bumps all over and this time they were actually raised above her skin, so mom and I took her to a walk in clinic since it was after 430 p.m. and her doctor was too far away to make it! So, long story short, she was fine. It's some sort of contact dermatitis. That means it's something she's coming in contact with that is causing it. Nothing bad, not painful, we just have the fun part of figuring it out. The Dr. said it could be as simple as her being in her new clothes that haven't been washed yet. The simple solution to that, he suggested, is to just run water over them! haha-who would have thought! We also had her ears looked at as well, only due to the fact that she's been fussy lately, but they were totally clear!! :o) Our baby is almost 16 lbs now though!!! Holy cow! :o) HAHA I guess she only gets the best!! Well until next time!

Teething....I think So

So the past few days Isabelle has been rather moody and gets really mad when she gets rolled over from her back to her tummy. She is able to roll back over, but she gets her arms flat out in front of her and starts to bury her face into the floor and screams. It's kind of funny, but we roll her back over and what does the stinker do....rolls right back to where she was. Once she gets it figured out that she is able to roll over and over and over, she won't get so mad.

We think she's teething now as well. She's been REALLY, really drooly, and grumpy. She hardly napped at all yesterday (Monday), and just isn't really wanting to be put down when being held either. She did better today. I got her to sleep finally and put her in her new swing that my mom bought her yesterday (at a consignment shop-$25 bucks!!) and she slept for 2 hours!! It was awesome!!

We also have been working to get her out of her swaddle at night, because she's starting to break out of it and rolls over when she gets out and then screams! haha. so we starting with naps and its a long process. She is pretty much done sleeping with her boppy at night and being flat on her back. So that's also progress too!! It just takes a lot of time getting her used to new things and transitioning and I'm selfish and LOVE my sleep when I get it. The little booger STILL isn't sleeping all night long. I'm beginning to think she NEVER will! She usually sleeps for five hours (but by the time I get to bed it's usually three for me) then is up two-three times after that!! My nights are NEVER long enough anymore!!

It's been raining ALL day today and is supposed to again tomorrow. Mom has a job interview in the morning and after that we're going to walk around the mall and eat lunch there. Just stuff to do inside since it's yucky out!!

Oh and one more thing, Izzy has found her feet too this past week!! Its so funny, she LOVES grabbing them!!! :o) She has yet to get them in her mouth yet though!! lol

She's A Rolling

Well it's official, our baby girl is rolling over now. she's getting so big! She really started going yesterday and today she's been unstoppable!! she still can't go both ways, but I bet in a day or two she will have it down pat! she's really working hard at it!!

tomorrow is saturday and we're going to walk to the library to a book sale they're having. also, our east here they call garage sales "tag sales" so mom and I plan to check a few of those out. then in the afternoon we're going to go w/ our neighbor to her sons t-ball game. He is IN LOVE with ryan too. it's so cute, he always wants to play with him and hugs him goodbye! Adorable!! haha

Well I'm a tired momma, so it's off to bed for the night for me!!

New Friends

Yesterday was our last day at our mother goose time at the local library. Isabelle and I were going and singing songs with a bunch of other little babies! She loved being there and she really loved her teacher!! Sadly, now though, its all done! She did get a new book though for finishing the class!! Last night we went out to our court yard where some other kids were playing ball and shooting guns. One of the little boys LOVES Isabelle so we decided to bundle her up and go out and watch. Ryan joined us as well, and well, when you get 3 little boys and one big boy together, playing guns and hide n seek happens! It was a riot!!! Ryan was chasing them ALL over the place, and "shooting" at them. Then, yes, I got in and played for a bit too!! So I posted some pictures of our little play time and then some cute pics of Izzy all bundled up too. She's starting to talk to her bottles now when she eats, and its pretty darn funny!!! She is also trying to sit herself up in her crib (at least she did in the middle of the night last night)!! Always changing!!! Until next time!!! xoxxo

Happy Mother's Day!

Today was my very first Mother's Day, and it was a fantastic day!! It started out with Ryan getting up with Iz this morning at 7 and me getting to sleep in until just before ten am!! That was so nice. I can't even remember the last time I got to sleep that late! I've been so tired lately and that was a huge help!!

My mom got me a TON of picture frames all with pictures of Izzy in them, and I LOVED all of them! I've been wanting to get a few for myself, but she helped me out by getting me 7 new ones!! Thanks mom! She then continued to make me breakfast and that was REALLY yummy!! Isabelle actually went down for a nap when I got up so I really didn't even see her until after 1230 this afternoon!!

We were going to go back to the park and take more pictures for our first mothers day, but Isabelle fell asleep in the car, and then it was too cold and windy, so we ended up going to the mall and walking around instead. We had a good time, but because of that she didn't nap really this afternoon, so she's been kind of cranky today. she's asleep now and its going on 8, when I try to get her down for the night....so needless to say, it could be an interesting night.

Saturday, May 8th

Today started out rainy and cold, and now its sunny with a wind advisory. One thing is for sure...the weather out here in CT is just as weird at creepy cool as it is in IA!!!

Izzy made a new friend last night!! One of the little boys that lives in the apt building next to ours is in first grade and mom had her outside walking last night while he was out playing! He came up to her and she just loved him!!! He sure is a cutie and he kept wanting to play with her!!! so sometime when his mommy needs a break I invited him to come over! haha, I'm too nice!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and for all the mommy friends I have out there....have an amazing mothers day!! I love you all!!

We had a mini photo shoot again today. This time it was with daddy's big camera in the bedroom, so we have to actually develop that film! Hopefully it all comes out well!!!
